In the Tacoma area:

Olympia Area Rowing club has Basic Sculling Classes scheduled at several times in Spring and Summer. See more at www.olympiaarearowing.org.

Facilities on American Lake include the Commencement Bay Rowing Club (CBRC) located in Harry Todd Park. 

The CBRC boat house has four large storage bays.  One is used by CBRC for the boys and girls high school age rowing program, a second is used by the University of Puget Sound female and male crews, a third is used by the Pacific L:utheran University for their female and male crews, and the fourth is a leased storage area for privately owned rowing shells. In the Seattle area:
Beginners classes are offered throughout the year at several private clubs and by the City of Seattle Parks Department.

Parks Department programs are located at Green Lake and Mt. Baker (Stan Sayres pits).

Private clubs include Lake Union Crew (www.lakeunioncrew.com), Lake Washington Rowing Club (www.lakewashingtonrowing.com), and the Pocock Rowing Center.
